This Privacy Policy explains how the "Hidden App Guardian" mobile application ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. This policy is maintained by AetherLabs ("the Developer").

1. Information We Collect

The App accesses the following types of data solely on your device to provide its functionality:

• Installed Applications List: Required to scan for hidden or suspicious apps. This list is only processed locally and is never uploaded.
• Network Connection Information: Active socket connections and network traffic metadata are analyzed locally to detect suspicious activity.
• WiFi Network Details: Current network encryption type, gateway info, and DNS configuration — used locally to assess WiFi security.
• App Permission Data: Permissions granted to installed apps, scanned locally for risk assessment.
• Device Administrator Status: Checked locally to identify apps with elevated system privileges.

None of the above data leaves your device. All analysis is performed on-device using local algorithms.

The data accessed by the App is used exclusively to:

• Identify hidden, spy, or suspicious applications on your device.
• Analyze network connections for potential data leaks or suspicious activity.
• Assess WiFi network security and flag vulnerabilities.
• Audit app permissions and identify privacy risks.
• Generate a local risk dashboard — stored only on your device.

We do not sell, share, or monetize your personal data. We do not collect analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics that identify you.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate the following third-party services depending on your device and app store:

• Huawei HMS Core / AppGallery Connect: Used for in-app purchases, push notifications, and app updates on Huawei devices. Huawei may collect device identifiers (OAID) for these services in accordance with Huawei's Privacy Policy.
• StartApp SDK (Huawei builds): Used for advertising on Huawei. StartApp may use device identifiers to serve ads. See StartApp Privacy Policy.
• Google AdMob (Google Play builds): Used for advertising. AdMob may collect the Advertising ID. See Google Privacy Policy.
• Firebase Remote Config: Used to remotely update ad unit IDs and feature flags. Firebase may log request metadata. No personal app-scan data is sent.

5. Data Storage & Security

All scan results and risk assessments are stored only in the local database on your device. This data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 (SQLCipher). We do not have access to this data, and it is never backed up to cloud services by our app.

6. Your Rights & Controls

You have full control over your data:

• Delete scan history: All local scan data can be deleted from within the app's Settings screen.
• Revoke permissions: You can revoke any app permission from Android device Settings at any time.
• Opt out of personalized ads: Reset your Advertising ID (OAID on Huawei, GAID on Google) in your device's privacy settings.
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the app will permanently remove all locally stored data.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via an in-app update notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
